- Amy Lynch-Gracias and her husband, Brian, a Pratt & Whitney employee, moved to Connecticut in 2005, and to Hebron in 2006.
“I decided to run because I have questions, though I also do not claim to have all the answers,” said Amy. “What I desire is to be part of the process that provides good answers, answers that address the needs of everyone who has a stake in Hebron’s education – students, parents, teachers, administrators, employers, colleges, and all of our taxpayers.”
“To achieve this end,” she continued, “I do believe everyone must take part, which means I too must stand up and be counted in more ways than just asking why. So I am volunteering to represent all of us on the Hebron Board Of Education.”
Why should residents vote for Amy? She answered that question clearly and concisely by saying:
“* I believe in the independent spirit that helped Connecticut and the other twelve colonies start his nation – we have a proud heritage to build upon.
* I believe in the future of this state and this country, and its inherent greatness. I believe that developing leaders and critical thinkers should be the goal of education.
* I believe that everyone should have the right to pursue their best potential, but not at the sacrifice of everyone else.
* I believe change is a constant, but how that change is directed is determined by who is stepping forward to bring about that change.
*Finally, I believe I can help us find the answers for our town’s education needs, while meeting the needs of all who have a stake in this town.”
