Jeff was an active member of the Hebron Lions Club for eight years, and served as President of that organization in 2004. He has also served as President of the Hebron Lions Charity.
Jeff was elected to the RHAM Board of Education in 2003, and served as Chairman during a contentious time in RHAM history. Working with officials from the partnering towns of Andover and Marlborough, Jeff brought leadership and change to the regional school district, including completion of the final phases of the RHAM building project and the dissolution of the Central Office Committee. As a result of the COC breakup, both Hebron and RHAM now have separate Superintendents who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and budgeting restraint not seen in previous years.
The RHAM school district, under Jeff’s leadership, also saw major improvements in the school’s technology system, the result being enhanced opportunities for both student learning and open communication with residents.
For the past couple of years, Jeff has spent time reenergizing and attending the many cheerleading, baseball, basketball and soccer events that his triplets participate in.
Jeff attended East Catholic High School, Manchester Community College, and the University of Connecticut School of Insurance. He also completed the Harvard Executive Development program. Currently, Jeff is Senior Vice President of Treaty Division at Hartford Steam Boiler, Inspection and Insurance Company (HSB). In this position, he is responsible for leading a staff of 55 to market and underwrite HSB’s insurance products and services for 135 different insurance companies throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.
“We need renewed energy, creative thinking and leadership to attract business into Hebron, and as a Selectman, I will work particularly hard in that area. We also need to focus more on volunteerism, which was a fundamental value demonstrated repeatedly by our Hebron founders. We need to commit our time and find business sponsorship before committing to more tax dollars.”
