Mike has been active in the Hebron community almost from the time he moved here from Colchester in 2004. A member of Church of the Holy Family, Mike is also a den leader for Hebron’s Pack 28 Cub Scouts. In addition, he serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Chairman of the Board of Finance for the Collaborative Center for Justice, a faith-based, not-for-profit advocacy organization located in Hartford. Prior to moving to Hebron, Mike served on the Colchester Board of Finance.

In 2006, Mike was appointed by the Board of Selectmen to fill an open position on the Hebron Board of Finance. Today, he is Chairman of that board.

Mike graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of both the Connecticut and American Societies of Certified Public Accountants. In addition, Mike is also a Fellow of the Life Office Management Association.

In addition, Mike is responsible for the Investment Company and Investor Relations activities for Hartford Life.

“As a member of the Board of Finance, our job is to manage the fiscal affairs of the town in a responsible way in order to provide the maximum number of residential services, but we have to do that in a manner that treats all taxpayers fairly. This town has unique challenges with its largely residential tax base, and frankly, that is one factor that attracted my family and me to the town. The Board of Finance has an important job to keep the tax rates in line with what the town can afford and to balance that with the services desired by residents,” said Mike.
