- Graduated from Lenoir Community College Kingston, NC in 1973 with a AA S Degree in Aviation Management (Career Pilot)
- Eastern Connecticut University, Business Administration Major
- Served in the United States Marine Corps from 1965 to 1969 as a Helicopter crew chief and door gunner
- Occupation- Regional Sales Manager for a California Aerospace Investment castings foundry
- Volunteer work: Hebron Youth Baseball and Soccer Coach; Veterans Day speaker at RHAM schools for a number of years
- Member of Hebron American Legion Post #95, Hebron VFW, 5 time past commander, Marine Corps League, DAV, Marine Combat Helicopter Association, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association
- Appointed to the Hebron Zoning Board of Appeals as a regular member, January 2008
- 2009 – Elected to the Zoning Board of Appeals
