Remembering Betsy
Sadly, Betsy passed away on September 13, 2005. Hebron lost a very valuable contributor to its past, present and future on the day that Betsy died.
Among many of Betsy’s activities and accomplishments in her life, she was a long time member of the Hebron Republican Town Committee, a Justice of the Peace, the Vice Chairman of Hebron’s Board of Finance, a member of Hebron’s Open Space Land Acquisition Committee and a member of Hebron’s Historical Society.
Betsy’s first run for elective office in 2003 for the Board of Finance was so successful that she received the highest number of votes over all of the candidates who ran that year. Betsy was a dedicated member of the Hebron Republican Town Committee. Betsy and her husband, H.C., held many fundraisers for our organization. Betsy was always very supportive of our Town Committee and she gave her time and effort to many of our projects. Betsy was a very thoughtful person with an open mind. Many people often sought her opinions because Betsy was such a kind and caring person.
Betsy was passionate about protecting Hebron’s open space and Betsy’s family suggested that donations could be made to the Hebron Open Space Land Acquisition Fund. The Hebron Republican Town Committee chose to make a donation to this fund in memory of Betsy Foote Osborn.
We miss you Betsy………
